So this book exists for one reason and for one reason only - to empower my people of the African Diaspora with the knowledge, wisdom and understanding you need to live a peaceful, productive, and purpose-driven life.

He is best-known for his widespread black liberation blog, TruthOverTradition.com, where he shares untaught biblical and historical truths in relation to the African Diaspora. A real wake up call1

I really didn't know what to expect when I decided to purchase this book, but I'm glad I did. Reading this book was truly the "wake up" call I needed to confirm that I was on the right path regarding spirituality in tandem with my Black identity. I've more than struggled along the way with knowing God, but I've always been totally Black conscious. This book perfectly illustrates that pro-Black awareness is wholly in sync with spiritual development. Actually, if you are a Black person one cannot go without the other. The Blacker you become, the more intuned with God you become. It can be a lonely journey but it's one worthy of taking....life affirming and lifesaving. Buy the book!

A well-written book and a great source of inspiration for anyone striving to tap the inner strength we all have. Highly recommended for our youths. Good to read along with other inspiring works like Disciples of Fortune, The Wretched of the Earth. Deserves the 5s it has been getting.

Very Powerful book that will open the eyes and mind of brothers and sisters of color. Straight to the point with each proverb and it's raw and uncut truth. I personally love this book because it speaks to me about certain problems I have in my own life.
